The Secret Mission:
It has been said that “people need to know you care before they care what
you know”. Well God really cares and he started this ministry to show just
that. He has a secret mission and you are central to His mission. The
foundation is simply this: God said to me, “Set my people free, I want to
use them”. God wants you free from bondage and for many today that means
financial debt. To change your focus from debt payments to serving and doing
His will is truly the mission. God wants you to work for Him and He has
placed a passion in your heart to turn you toward Him. So know we care about
you and are committed to help you become the person that God wants you to
be.

People need People:
The truth is that we need each other. That we really can’t and don’t want to
do it all by ourselves. We want help, but we want honest help, real help,
practical help and caring help. In today’s culture, we hear many promises of
help only to discover the price for that help is beyond what we are able or
willing to pay. So what are we to do? Our answer is simple… let us serve
you. Notice we didn’t say help, we said serve and therein lies the
difference between us and the others. Our role is to serve you. One of our
core values is to “meet you where you are at and journey with you”. Not very
elegant wording but heart words. Words that say we listen first to your need
and we don’t judge but serve. We serve by providing solutions and helping
you decide your options and then to implement the decision. We serve by
staying with you on your journey to wellness.

Life is a Journey:
As you look at your life today, you have accomplished much, yet you have
dreams to accomplish much more. You may be at a position where you have a
wonderful family, have finished your education, are growing well in your
career and maybe even have a bunch of stuff like cars, toys, and so on. You
may have a stirring to dream again, to set new goals or fulfill old goals.
Making life changes is not easy and always takes us out of our comfort zone.
Often when we look back, the price we paid is well worth the effort to
achieve what we dreamed. We all dream and we all have desires. It’s just
that sometimes we need others to help us get there. Most times it takes
money to accomplish our dreams and we don’t see how we can do it because
there is no extra money. If this is you and you want to take a journey, want
a partner to join you, want godly counsel and practical help and
encouragement, then consider allowing us to serve as one of your partners. A
few years back we helped a family that wanted to quit their jobs and start
up a ministry teaching children about horses. That dream took three years
and today they are full time in their ministry and loving every day of it.
This is only one story of hundreds of individuals and families that chose to
allow us to partner with them. Life is a journey. Take us along and enjoy
the trip.

Living ReaL Stewardship:
We all try to live a good life, help other people and hope for fairness and
justice from others. Often we discover it doesn’t quite work out that way
because the world system and our culture conflicts with this desire for our
lives. Lawsuits for everything are common place today. People take our
charity only to abuse it for their self centered purpose and fairness is a
joke. Life is tough and daily we experience how hard it can be in our jobs,
our family finances, our parenting, and our relationships. So who do we turn
to and how can we make life better? The answer is simple, hard to do but
simple. Turn to God! Let Him be lord of your life and over your life. Put
Him first and allow Him to work in your real daily life. Real stewardship
starts with the complete belief and acceptance that God owns it all and that
He created it all. Therefore it is God from whom all blessings flow and we
are to learn His ways, His principles, His commandments and His promises.
When we do this, we are living a life of real stewardship. Want some insight
to this “God’s Way”? Go to our section labeled “News & Information” and read
about the “Ten Principles and the Ten Commandments”. While you are there,
enjoy the bumper sticker wisdom, it just might make your day a little
lighter.

Prayer Request:
All of us here that work for Family Life Resources believe in the power of
prayer. Every Tuesday morning we all gather at 9:30 for praise and worship.
We tell you this not to say how good we are but how important you are to us.
We want to pray for you, for your family, for your needs, and for your
dreams. We hold every prayer request as special. We read it out loud. We
come together in union and we lift it up to the ear of God. We take our
responsibility serious because you have entrusted us with your personal
heart felt needs. If we can pray for you, write to us via a fax to (813)
989-0359, e-mail us, and yes even an old fashion method of a letter using
the postal system is more than welcomed.

What’s It All About?:
A question often asked by many people seeking answers to life’s meaning. We
seek for ourselves because it starts with us. It really must be first all
about you before you can be of help to others. Consider the following poem
as one of those answers.
back to top LIVING
By Richard Dillman
The world tells us we ought to share
And in the ads, we hear this cry
The world's plan for sharing
Is giving to me, myself and I.
In many ways they tell us
Life is to be a ball
With only a small down payment
Why, we can have it all.
Then when we have taken
And signed on the dotted line
We soon realize from each paycheck
There's nothing left, we're in a bind.
God has another way
And his plan is quite small
First, you acknowledge HIM
As owner of it all.
Then you give but a little
For this is all He asks
He'll multiply and use it
In ways beyond your grasp.
He'll leave you the larger share
Because He loves you so
We are to learn His ways and praise HIM
For this is how we grow.
Yes, the world has it's plan
To keep you in it's hold
To turn you away from GOD
And make your heart grow cold.
It's up to you to understand
Which way you choose to go
Payment books or the Bible…
For in both, you reap what you sow.
